Year? Senior Weight Class? 145 lbs. When did you begin wrestling? I began my sophomore year. What do you like most about wrestling? It is hard work, but very rewarding. What do you like least about wrestling? The hard work. What do you do before a match to prepare yourself? I try to get very mentally focused and pumped. What are 1 to 3 words that best describe you? Driven, logical, and prioritizing. What do you believe is your greatest accomplishment in wrestling to date? Winning the JV Conference Championhip last season. What hobbies do you enjoy? I like radio controlled airplanes and helicopters. I also snowboard and have a black belt in karate. What other sports do you participate in? (IHSA and other) Gymnastics. I perform on high bar and prallel bars. Who is your favorite Lake Park teacher and why? Mr. Fullmer. He makes government fun and he knows how to balance between work and play. What is your favorite Lake Park subject and why? Physics. I find it practical and logical. What is your favorite food - any meal? Pasta and scotcha. What is your favorite TV show? My Life What is something others should know about you, but probably don't? I was born in Arizona. If they made a movie about your life, what would the title be? Cubs or Sox? I'm not into golf. What celebrity, television or movie character, or other famous person have you been told you resemble? Tom Cruise What can you tell us about your pets, if you have any? I have a small dog named Gizmo. What one word would you use to describe high school wrestling? Commitment When you are done wrestling at Lake Park, how would you like to be remembered? I improved the most. What is the name of the song you would sing on American Idol? What artist? Green Onions by Booker T. and the MGs. Describe your dream car. An F22 Raptor. Who would you take on your dream date? My girl friend - Kelsey. Who is the comedian on the team? Which coach has the best sense of humor? Coach Willis What is something you do not want to hear from the coach? "On the line!" Who is the best dresser? Ryan Bracher has great hats. What is your favorite phrase from the coach? Which coach? Where is your favorite place to relax? I like to chill outside on a nice day. Which Lake Park wrestling coach would win on Survivor if they were all on the island together? Why? Coach Rymond. He never gives in or quits. Who is the best overall athlete of anyone on the wrestling team? I'd say Dan. Marco, and DZ. If you were granted one super power, what would you want to get? I'd love to have the power of Teleportation. Boxers or briefs? Boxers. What was the most significant cultural invention of the Stone Age? The nuclear reactor. What song lyrics do you know by heart? Way too many to name.What wrestling advice would you give the “Freshman” you four years ago? John, you should join wrestling, after you get your black belt in karate. What kinds of things make you laugh? Many random things. What is the last CD / DVD you purchased? The album Captiva by Falling Up. Is it hard being so sexy?Most definately. You're hosting dinner. What three people do you invite? You, Me, and I. Wrestling season is over - chocolates or ice cream? Ice cream. What do you think about Lake Park hosting the IHSA regionals this season? It will be very nice to have them here. Compare practices for wrestling to practices for any other sport you have participated in. I can't - wrestling practices are way too different. Who is the toughest wrestler you have ever had to face and why? Is there a wrestling mentality? What is it?Yes. You have to make your mind forcing it not to give up.
