The Lancer Shield Honorees
The Honor of the “Shield”
During the medieval times, Lancers carried a shield used to represent their history, honors and beliefs. Today’s Lake Park Lancers also carry a shield. This shield represents who we are as wrestlers, teammates and as individuals.  The sport of wrestling is unique to any other, it encompasses greater mental, physical and spiritual challenges than most can image.
All participants in the Lake Park Wrestling program earn the right to wear the shield, but only the truly COMMITTED, sincerely DEDICATED and forever LOYAL earn the right to know its meaning.
All Lake Park Wrestlers have an equal chance to earn the right to know, it is up to them as individuals to pursue this honor.
