Wrestlers Facilities - Weight Room
Lake Park High School East Campus is the home to a brand new (in 2004) weight training and fitness center. The East Campus weight/fitness room is approximately 3,000 square feet. The Lancer wrestlers, and other Lake Park athletes, use this facility for weight training, power lifting, circuit training, and other weight lifting exercises.
The weight room is stocked with the latest Magnum Fitness System equipment and weight systems that are more commonly seen in health clubs, schools and universities, YMCA's, hospitals, wellness centers, pro training facilities, and corporate fitness centers.
The Lake Park East Campus weight room offers Magnum equipment stations to work the arms, the back, the chest, the lower body, the mid body and the shoulders providing our student athletes with the ability to achieve a complete body workout or focus on specific muscle groups that need to be built up.
All the workout equipment is constructed out of rounded, heavy gauge, steel tubing to minimize the potential for injury. Each station or piece of equipment is designed to offer excellent biomechanics, safeguarding our athletes while providing the best workout equipment.
The free weight rack contains over 30 sets of dumbbells ranging in weight from 5 pounds to 50 pounds. In the free weight area there are squat racks, Olympic benches, breaker benches, and various other workout benches providing excellent free weight workout capabilities.
When our Lake Park wrestlers say they are going to the weight room, they are going to one of the most modern and well equipment workout facilities in Chicago-area high schools!
